Held on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the Mid-Autumn Festival has been listed by our government as an “intangible cultural heritage” since 2006 and a public holiday since 2008.
With three major concepts, which are gathering, thanksgiving and praying, closely tied to one another, we hosted a small gathering of our staff last Friday to celebrate this meaningful festival. This year we not only ordered various mooncakes and baked croissant and egg tarts, but also organized three staff competitions to add some zest to the traditional holiday. So what were they? Snooker, Dart and FIFA 15!
Meet our three lucky winners, who each got a ¥200 Amazon Gift-card, congratulations!
Last but not least, as is conveyed in a Chinese saying, the gift itself may be small, but the goodwill is deep. In the end, the only thing that matters is we are all here together!
We hope everybody had had a very Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Bonus track: how our female staff rocked at the pool table!
